During your initial consultation, the dentist will examine your smile to determine if you are an ideal candidate for Active Aligners. Once you are cleared to start the treatment process, impressions and photos of your teeth will be sent to the lab for planning and processing. We then liaise with the orthodontic laboratory to fine tune your treatment plan. At this point you will be advised on the duration and costs of your customised treatment plan, which typically takes between 12 and 18 months.

Now the aligner process starts. You will receive a series of aligners each slightly adjusted to move your teeth into their ideal position. It is suggested that you wear your aligners for 22 hours a day. Not wearing it for the recommended hours per day can affect the treatment success. At regular check-ups with your dentist, your progress will be monitored to ensure that your aligners are comfortable and that your treatment plan is on track and adjusted where necessary. Once your treatment is complete, we will provide long term retention that will prevent your teeth from relapse.

A benefit of using clear aligners is your treatment is highly customized. Depending on the complexity and severity of your dental issues, you may need between 6 and 12 sets of aligners, so the price varies accordingly.
