What happens at my child’s routine visit?
It is really important for kiddies to have their first check up around the age of 2 years old, but rather late than never! In the first appointment we focus on prevention.
Early detection and treatment of dental issues are crucial to preventing more significant problems in the future.
What we do in the appointment really depends on your child. Young children usually sit on their parent’s lap to feel safe while we have a look.
What paediatric services do we provide?
- Preventative care including cleanings, fluoride, orthodontic evaluations, dental sealants and sports guards.
- Dental restorations: fillings and pulpotomies (for bigger cavities)
- Extractions and space maintenance
- Emergency dental care: We are here to provide urgent dental care in case of dental emergencies, such as toothaches, dental trauma, or injuries.
- Conscious sedation: when a lot of work needs to be done or your child is very nervous, conscious sedation is a great option.
