What is Injection moulding?
Impressions are taken and a bespoke digital smile design is created for you. Once this is approved by you, we 3D print a wax-up that we use to make a clear stent. The stent essentially acts as a mould for the injectable material. Your teeth are prepared for bonding and the clear stent is placed over your teeth. We then inject a flowable material directly into the stent mould. The flowable material is light cured, excess material is removed, and the teeth are polished to a ceramic-like finish.
Injection moulding forms part of a comprehensive treatment plan. It is usually used in combination with teeth whitening and Active Aligners.
